The historic building is the former home of Ottomanera architect Simon Balian, a member of the Armenian family behind many of Istanbul’s landmark imperial buildings, including the Dolmabahçe and Çiragan palaces.

The hotel was designed by The House Hotel’s signature Turkish collaborators, Autoban, combining historical glamour with contemporary design.

The Bosphorus Lounge offers a stunning view stretching from the bridge to the Topkapi Palace, serving buffet breakfast, snacks and drinks, or guests can head to sister establishment The House Café on the ground floor.

There is also a small gym. The hotel is conveniently located on the main shore road, and offers a private boat – The House Boat – for guests, including airport transfers.

The House Hotel Bosphorus consists of 26 rooms and suites in a 5-storey, 19th-century Ottoman mansion at the foot of the Bosphorus Bridge, as well as The Mansion, containing a suite and two rooms.

Our 20 sqm Superior rooms feature 3m ceilings, decorative moldings, modern Autoban chandelier and a glass-walled bathroom with a privacy blind.

Our 38 sqm luxury designed Penthouse Suites has a private terrace overlooking the Bosphorus Bridge and Ortaköy Mosque with a partial Bosphorus view.

Penthouse Bosphorus Suite
Our 56 sqm Penthouse Bosphorus Suite features a 4-metre mansard roof and a private wrap-around terrace with a 180° view of the Bosphorus Strait and Ortaköy Mosque, Old City and Maiden’s Tower. There is a separate living room and dining area, and the oversized bathroom has a freestanding bathtub.

All rooms has also a modern Autoban chandelier, decorative moldings, and a glass-walled bathroom with a privacy blind.

Bosphorus Lounge Bar; With its panoramic view of the city, from the Ortaköy Mosque to Topkapi Palace, the Bosphorus Lounge is an unforgettable venue for buffet breakfast, light snacks or drinks, served from 07.00am until 11:00pm. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a majestic, carved fireplace for the winter months.

Whether it is for a small casual meeting for few people or for a special celebration up to 150, our historical mansion offers breathtaking views stretching from the Bosphorus Bridge to the Topkapi Palace.

Situated in the lively and vibrant enclave of Ortaköy, the hotel neighbours an iconic mosque and unbeatable waterfront views, at the intersection of Europe and Asia.

Best known for its food stalls and night life, Ortaköy is a typical Bosphorus shoreline enclave, with cobbled streets and leafy trees shading cafes, restaurants, bars and famous clubs.
